Say you want to see how your listing page looks like now that you added a nice photo to the child article page? Or even more often, you want to see if the cache is cleared correctly when you change the info on the page providing the data that ends up on another page(s)?
This is not possible without clicking on the page you would like to look at or without going to the view from the current page and navigating through the interface.
That annoyed me for some time and then I stumbled upon Tahir's blog post and Ben's solution listing in the comment of the blog above. I wanted to use this opportunity to fix the "open unselected page in new tab", so I ripped off Ben's solution for a different cause.
Here is a github solution, feel free to install and use the nuget package available under release tab.
The behavior for "open in new tab" is the same as "View on website" link under page options (for folder, the link is disabled; for non-published pages, it is enabled and gives 404).
